Work with your partner.

Decide what is wrong in each sentence. Underline and classify the mistakes as indicated in the grid, and try to correct them.


// missing word (s)
(e.g. pronoun, preposition, part of speech, article, etc.)
-VF: verb form
(e.g. ‘play’ instead of ‘playing)

-T: tense
(e.g. ‘present’ instead of ‘past’.)
-WW: wrong word
(e.g. ‘see’ instead of ‘watch’)
-WO: word order
SP: spelling
-P: punctuation
-G: grammar (e.g. misuse of pronouns, subject-verb agreement, comparatives,

(superlatives, articles, prepositions, parts of speech, etc.)
